Nauka dzieli świat przyrody na sześć królestw, w tym królestwo roślin. Ocenia się, że drzewa pojawiły się około trzystu osiemdziesięciu pięciu milionów lat temu, sto milionów lat po pojawieniu się roślin. Jeden z najnowszych wpisów podaje 298 tysięcy gatunków roślin. 86 procent wszystkich gatunków roślin i zwierząt na Ziemi, a także 91 procent w oceanach pozostaje nienazwanych. 1

Seria fotografii Stwory powstała w oparciu o fotografie zrobione na Maderze w 2020 roku, oraz w Ogrodzie Botanicznym w Potro 2017 roku. W serii, która w dalszym ciągu rozbudowuję powstało do tej pory dwanaście fotografii.
Od wielu lat fotografuję rośliny, fascynują mnie szczególnie rośliny szybkorosnące, takie które potrzebują niewiele czasu, żeby można było zaobserwować ich wzrost, czasami nawet dzienny przyrost. Rośliny komunikują się między sobą, jak wszystkie organizmy żywe reagują na czynniki zewnętrzne, zwracają się do słońca, niektóre gatunki jak np. Calathea, widocznie poruszają się w ciągu jednej doby. Świat przyrody jest w ciągłym procesie transformacji.

Science divides the natural world into six kingdoms, including the plant kingdom. It is estimated that trees appeared about three hundred and eighty-five million years ago, one hundred million years after the appearance of plants. One of the latest entries lists 298,000 plant species. 86 percent of all plant and animal species on Earth, as well as 91 percent in the oceans, remain unnamed. 1

The Creatures series of photographs was based on photographs taken in Madeira in 2020 and in the Botanical Garden in Potro in 2017. Twelve photographs have been created so far in the series, which I am still developing.
For many years I have been photographing plants. I am particularly fascinated by fast-growing plants, the ones that need little time to observe their growth, sometimes even a daily increase. Plants communicate with each other, as all living organisms react to external conditions, they turn to the sun, some species, such as Calathea, apparently move within one day. The natural world is in a constant process of transformation.
